Did You Know?

Manatees are sometimes called “sea cows,” but they’re actually more closely related to elephants than cows. These marine mammals can hold their breath for up to 20 minutes, though they usually surface every few minutes to breathe. Manatees spend as much as eight hours a day grazing on seagrass and other plants. Baby manatees stay with their mothers for one to two years.
