The Island Hopper Songwriter Fest

Each fall, you can experience music and storytelling in a whole new way as the Fort Myers area sets the stage for one of Florida’s most unique festivals. Unlike traditional concerts, the 10-day Island Hopper Songwriter Fest in September invites you to connect with the stories behind the songs, as acclaimed BMI singer-songwriters perform in intimate settings like beachfront tiki bars, resort pool decks and open-air restaurants.

As you explore venues in downtown Fort Myers, Cape Coral and nearby islands and beaches, you’ll enjoy a laid-back atmosphere where the music feels personal and immersive.

Most Island Hopper performances are free, with the exception of headliner shows and select ticketed events. Wander from one set to the next, discover new artists and enjoy great food and scenic views along the way.
